Lane, et al., v. Kitzhaber, Regarding Oregon Sheltered Workshops for Persons With Disabilities

February 7, 2012
On January 25, 2012, Disability Rights Oregon filed a complaint against the state of Oregon claiming that the state’s sheltered workshops for persons with developmental disabilities violate the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The complaint was filed on behalf of eight named plaintiffs and United Cerebral Palsy Association of Oregon and Southwest Washington, Inc. The lawsuit seeks to replace sheltered workshops with integrated work environments for individuals with developmental disabilities .
