Idaho Medicaid Managed Care Legislative Report February 2012

The Idaho Medicaid program was directed by the 2011 Legislature, in House Bill (HB) 260, to develop a managed care program for mental health services. This report summarizes the state's progress on HB 260 and a related bill HB 341, which tasked DHW with incorporating managed care for other populations. There are 235,000 Medicaid beneficiaries in the state and about 18% have a disability. Half of the stateÂ’s Medicaid spending is on that 18% of beneficiaries.
