New Mexico HSD Contract With Public Consulting Group To Audit 15 Behavioral Health Provider Organizations

The New Mexico Human Services Department contracted with Public Consulting Group to audit 15 behavioral health organizations via a sole-source emergency procurement. The contract is valued at $3 million.  The scope of the audit included Medicaid services, non-Medicaid services, and an enterprise audit. As part of the audits, PCG developed a scorecard for each provider organization that includes overpayments and/or credible allegations of fraud. The audit involved unannounced visits to each of the 15 provider organizations to review a random sample of clinical and human resource files.
