Testimony of Kentucky Medical Association to Senate Health & Welfare Committee Regarding Medicaid MCO Utilization Management

On Febraury 8, 2012, the president of Kentucky Medical Association (KMA), Shawn Jones M.D, gave a testimony before the Kentucky Senate Health and Welfare Committee. The testimony highlighted some of the concerns that physicians have been encountering since the transition to managed care. According to Dr. Jones, the transition to managed care has created many administrative burdens and financial challenges for physicians and has impacted patient care.
