ACF Notice of Proposed Rulemaking: Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System

On February 9, 2015, the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families released the notice of proposed rulemaking for the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS) Assessment Review process. The changes are intended to align the AFCARS with the Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing Adoptions Act of 2008, and with the Preventing Sex Trafficking and Strengthening Families Act of 2014.
