La Frontera New Mexico v. United Behavioral Health, Inc. et al.

On February 9, 2016, the parent organization of La Frontera New Mexico sued United Behavioral Health (United) d/b/a OptumHealth New Mexico, the state’s former Medicaid and non-Medicaid behavioral health administrator for fraud and for misrepresenting material facts about the timeliness and basis on which La Frontera would be paid. La Frontera says United and its parent organization UnitedHealthcare owe at least $12.6 million, which includes $3.9 million for 30,000 unpaid claims for services delivered between July 2013 and January 2014, plus damages.
