Iowa Medicaid RFP# MED-16-009 For The Iowa High Quality Healthcare Initiative

The Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) is planning to move nearly all Medicaid populations and services to managed care plans by January 1, 2016. DHS released a request for proposals (RFP) on February 16, 2015, that outlines its plans and the timeline. DHS intends to contract on a statewide basis with two to four Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) to provide services for the Iowa Medicaid, Iowa Health and Wellness Plan, and Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa hawk-i programs.
