The federal Final Rule Standards Related to Essential Health Benefits, Actuarial Value, and Accreditation clarifies that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 provisions on essential health benefits include accesss to behavioral health benefits under the same terms as access to medical and surgical benefits.
