Ohio is developing a single home- and community-based services (HCBS) waiver to serve 190,000 dual eligible individuals needing nursing home level care who are currently enrolled in one of the stateÂ’s five HCBS Medicaid waivers. The state is developing an integrated care delivery system (ICDS) that will provide a single point of contact for all waiver beneficiaries and use managed care to improve care coordination. The Ohio Office of Health Transformation is planning to implement the first ICDS demonstration projects by January 2013.
