UK National Health Service Mental Health Payment By Results Guidance For 2013-14

The report, published by the British Department of Health, outlines progress during 2012-13 to establish outcomes based contracts under the Payment by Results system for provider organizations serving individuals with mental illness. Among the first steps, the DOH was establishing service bundles needed by various types of consumers. Payment by Results is the transparent rules-based payment system in England under which commissioners pay health care providers for each patient seen or treated, taking into account the complexity of the patient’s health care needs.
