October 2008 The authors of this report were engaged to evaluate Centerpoint Human Services (CPHS) with the goal of developing forward-looking, actionable recommendations to address concerns relating to mental health services and implementation of mental health, developmental disability, and substance abuse services reform in Forsyth County, North Carolina. The consultants held interviews with community stakeholders, state association leaders, and CPHS management. They also conducted 14 focus groups involving 122 people and held a town hall meeting.
