In this report released March 11, 2016, researchers with the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) analyzed statistics collected as part of the 2011-2012 National Survey of Childrens Health, which has parent-reported data for more than 35,000 children between the ages of 2 and 8. The analysis revealed that about 15.4% of children ages 2 to 8 in the United States have at least one diagnosed mental, behavioral or developmental disorder (MBDD).
