In this presentation dated March 14, 2016, the California Department of Education’s (CDE) special education division described how it is planning to align new federal progress measures for students with disabilities with the state board’s system of evaluation and the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). The LCFF funding is intended to help schools create or improve programs for low-income high-need students, specifically students living in poverty, English language learners, and students in foster care.
