Plan For Improving the Behavioral Health of New Hampshires Children

On March 15, 2013, the New Hampshire Childrens Behavioral Health Collaborative released a plan for creating a childrens system of care to replace New Hampshires fragmented system for helping children with mental health and addiction disorders access treatment services. The plan recommends strategies for getting families more involved and better integrating current services. About 10,000 children and youth are served annually through the states mental health system. About 43% of children receiving mental health services have a co-occuring addiction disorder.
