Settlement Agreement In State Of Florida & Ex Relators v. Youth Services International LLC, & JFS Development LLC
On March 16, 2016, the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) announced it had ended its seven juvenile detention facility contracts with Youth Services International (YSI). DJJ began transitioning the contracts to other provider organizations. The contract termination is due to a settlement in a whistleblower lawsuit filed in 2012 by former YSI staff that alleged that YSI failed to provide the necessary and appropriate services and falsified documents concerning contract terms.
