Bill H630: An Act Relating to an Overhaul of the Vermont Mental Health Laws

March 17, 2012
Vermont Governor signed Bill H630 into law paving way for an overhaul of that state's mental health care system. The Vermont general assembly adopted a framework for reforms of the mental heath care system that includes meeting the needs of individuals with mental health conditions including those in the custody of department of corrections. In addition, the mental health care system shall reflect the best practices and shall be adequately funded just like anything else in the health care system.
