HR 1263 Excellence In Mental Health Act Of 2013

On March 19, 2013, federal legislation (House Resolution 1263) was introduced to establish national standards and oversight for Federally Qualified Community Behavioral Health Centers (FQBHCs), a new designation for community mental health centers that will operate similarly to Federally Qualified Health Centers. Facilities meeting the FQBHC criteria would be able to bill Medicaid for their services. An estimated 2,000 FQBHCs would be created.
