March 22, 2013
Child protective service agencies in five Ohio counties are collaborating on a project to research the impact of addiction on child abuse and out-of- home care. The researchers are using a text-mining algorithm with state data for 5,000 substantiated and indicated cases of child maltreatment in the participating counties: Wood County, Auglaize County, Licking County, Sandusky County, and Knox County.
