The 2008 NCCPR Florida Rate-of-Removal Index
March 6, 2008 The National Coalition for Child Protection Reform conducted a review of each of the districts of Florida's Department of Children and Families (DCF) to determine the rate of child removals there. The Coalition sought to compare each DCF district's tendency to remove children from their homes with that district's child safety outcomes. The report found that DCF had an overall decrease (19%) in child removals between 2006 and 2007.
