The Kansas Senate Committee on Public Health and Welfare’s substitution for House Bill #2155 is an act concerning community developmental disability organizations (CDDO); eligibility determination, needs assessment, and case management. If adopted, the bill will prevent CDDOs from conducting both eligibility determinations and providing services for persons with a developmental disability Additionally, no CDDOs will be permitted to conduct both needs assessment and provide direct services for persons with a developmental disability. No person employed by a CDDO shall provide case management services to a person with a developmental disability if the organization also provides services . . .
