Learning from Charter School Management Organizations: Strategies for Student Behavior and Teacher Coaching

This report by researchers with Mathematica Policy Research and the Center on Reinventing Public Education is part of The National Study of Charter School Management Organization (CMO) Effectiveness, a four-year study designed to assess the impact of CMOs on student achievement and to identify CMO structures and practices that are most effective in raising achievement. Earlier reports from the study documented substantial variation in CMOs’ student achievement impacts and in CMOs’ use of particular educational strategies and practices.  In this report, the researchers assessed the relationship between charter school practices and student achievement.
