On March 26, 2013, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved a Michigan Medicaid waiver amendment to provide autism services including applied behavioral analysis (ABA) and Early Intensive Behavior Intervention to Medicaid beneficiaries ages 18 months through five years who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
