Disability Rights Ohio v. Ohio, DD Integration Class-Action Complaint
On March 31, 2016, Disability Rights Ohio (DRO) sued the Ohio Medicaid Department, and the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) to force the state to increase community living options for residents of Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) for individuals with intellectual disabilities (IID). The plaintiffs allege that DODD limits community placements and supportive services because it lacks funding. The plaintiffs are not seeking to force the DODD to close the ICFs.
