In July 2012, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIO), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) released its series of estimates of the percent and number of individuals who would be eligible for the Medicaid Expansion and Health Insurance Exchanges with behavioral health conditions, nationally and by state. They also sought to capture the socio-demographic characteristics of these individuals, nationally and by state.
