New York OPWDD Call For Letters Of Intent And Expressions Of Interest Specialized Managed Care For Individuals With Developmental Disabilities

The New York Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is planning to test capitated care management for individuals with developmental disabilities via a new type of managed care entity called a Developmental Disabilities Individual Support and Care Coordination Organization (DISCO). This document is a call for letters of intent to submit a DISCO application. Letters were due May 3, 2013. OPWDD anticipates launching pilot DISCOs by late 2013, with voluntary enrollment to start in early 2014.
