On April 3, 2013, North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory unveiled a plan to reorganize how Medicaid services are delivered by contracting with a few large managed care organizations (MCOs) to provide integrated medical, behavioral health, dental and other Medicaid services. The goal is to create a Medicaid system that uses a comprehensive care entity (CCE) to provide integrated physical and behavioral health care.
