West Virginia House Bill 2428 Of 2017: Establishing Additional Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities

On April 8, 2017, the West Virginia legislature released this enrolled committee substitute for House Bill 2428 of 2017, establishing additional substance abuse treatment facilities. The bill specifies the following rules and requirements related to substance abuse treatment beds:

the beds must be made available in locations throughout the state;
provides duties of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Resources;
provides for requirements of facilities accepting funds;
facilities must be appropriately licensed;
creates the Ryan Brown Addiction Prevention and Recovery Fund;
provides for administration of fund by the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Resources . . .
