Louisiana Senate Bill 182: Provides for Assistive Outpatient Placement
March 31, 2008 As a part of Louisiana Governor Jindal's promotion of mental health services, Senate Bill 182 was introduced to the Legislature with the goal of providing for assistive outpatient placement. A petition for an order authorizing involuntary outpatient treatment may be initiated by a hospital director, emergency room director, or director of a human service district that includes an examination done by a physician or psychologist.
