Residents Living in Residential Care Facilities: United States, 2010

In April 2012, the National Center for Health Statistics released a brief on residents living in residential care facilities. Researchers found that about 42% of the 733,300 adults living at residental centers during 2010 had dementia. More than 75% of all residents have two or more of 10 common chronic health conditions, and 26% of residents had between four and 10 chronic conditions.
