Ohio Foster Care Advisory Group Recommendations

On April 8, 2013, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine released recommendations how state policy should be changed to improve outcomes for youth in Ohios foster care system by ensuring that children in state custody have access to basic services and court representation, and by reducing the number of youth aging out of foster care unable to reunify with family, but not free for adoption. The recommendations addressed service financing, medical information sharing, foster parent training, and normalizing the foster care experience.
