Medicare Access & CHIP Reauthorization Act, House Resolution 2 Of 2015
The Medicare Access & CHIP Reauthorization Act Of 2015 (H.R. 2) was signed into law on April 16, 2015. The provisions of H.R. 2 remove the Medicare sustainable growth rate (SGR) methodology from the determination of annual conversion factors in the formula for physician services. The legislation phases in a new value-based alternative payment model (APM) and creates a Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) to modify the fee-for-service (FFS) system.
