Proposed Rule For State Vocational Rehabilitation Services program; State Supported Employment Services program; Limitations on Use of Subminimum Wage

On April 16, 2015, the federal departments of Labor (DOL) and Education (ED) released five proposed rules to implement the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to update federal workforce programs and improve access to education and workforce services for individuals with significant barriers to employment, including individuals with disabilities, veterans, disconnected youth, and other vulnerable populations. Comments on the proposed rules will be accepted through June 15, 2015.

This rule was proposed by the ED Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. It would implement changes authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which is contained in Title IV . . .
