Timely & Effective Care Management Measures, By State

On April 21, 2026, the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released data submitted by the states on measures of timely and effective health care services from July 2024 through June 2025. The data is presented in a spreadsheet. The data reported includes the median time people spent in an emergency department before leaving. The data indicates that median wait times are 1.2% lower, although wide variation persists across states.
