The request for information was released on April 23, 2018, by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS sought feedback on a new direct provider organization contracting (DPC) model for Medicare fee-for-service, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid beneficiaries. Under the DPC model, provider organizations, primary care and multi-specialty groups would take further accountability for the cost and quality of a designated population in order to drive better beneficiary outcomes.
