Depopulation Strategy: Response To The Court Order To Reduce The Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall Population

On May 2, 2025, the Los Angeles County Probation Department published this depopulation strategy response to the court order to reduce the Los Padrinos juvenile hall population. The depopulation plan specifies that youth who are awaiting trial on cases that could result in placement in the county’s Secure Youth Treatment Facility will be moved to the Barry J.
