Home Health Face-to-Face Encounter Question & Answers

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has released a fact sheet on home health face-to-face home encounters. The fact sheet was released after a new Medicare rule required physicians to conduct a face-to-face encounter with patients referred to home health services within 90 days before the start of home home health care services or no more than 30 days after the services started. The fact sheet includes provider organizations' specific questions about the information needed to meet the requirements and certification.
