Oklahoma House Bill 2962 Of 2016 To Require Insurers To Cover Services For Autism
This legislation was passed in April 2016, by the Oklahoma House to require commercial insurers to cover services for autism. The Act, which was signed on May 5, 2016, and goes into effect for health plans issued on or after November 1, 2016. It requires health plans to cover autism treatment, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) to children age 17 and younger for at least six years after being diagnosed with autism.
