The AN98 Final Rule, Payment for Home Health Services and Hospice Care to Non-VA Providers, directs the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to develop rates for contracted home health care services delivered by non-VA provider organizations. The AN98 rule goes into effect April 1, 2014. The final rule only affects provider organizations that do not have existing negotiated contracts with VA, because the new methodology cannot supersede rates for which the VA has specifically contracted.
