Office of the Attorney General of New Mexico Investigation Report For Easter Seals El Mirador

On May 6, 2014, the New Mexico Attorney General announced that it had cleared fraud charges against behavioral health provider organization El Mirador, but did discover that Easter Seals El Mirador overbilled Medicaid in the amount of $34,126. The organization is among 15 behavioral health provider organizations investigated for potential Medicaid fraud following an allegation by the New Mexico Human Services Department (HSD) in June 2013.  The Attorney General’s office has provided a full report to HSD, which will take action to recoup the overpayments . . .
