Illinois Department Of Children & Family Services Investigations Of Abuse And Neglect – Program Audit

On May 7, 2019, the State of Illinois Office of the Auditor General released this performance audit of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) investigations of abuse and neglect. The performance audit  draws on data regarding abuse and neglect investigations from fiscal year 2015 to fiscal year 2017. Within the audit, the data is analyzed to assess the efficacy of investigations, the rise and decline of abuse and neglect cases, and the success rate of the Intact Family Services (IFS) program.
