Tennessee v. Med Management Inc., et al.

On May 10, 2017, the State of Tennessee sought civil penalties and treble damages against MedManagement, Inc. and affiliated clinics, under the Tennessee Medicaid False Claims Act. The state accused the defendants of having submitted millions of dollars worth of fraudulent claims to government health care programs since 2006 or earlier. The state also elaborated on how it believed MedManagement had manipulated pain medication injection billing and service claims in order to avoid state limitations for medical reimbursement.
