Access to Substance Use Disorder Treatment in Massachusetts
These findings were reported by the Massachusetts Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA). This report was prepared for the Massachusetts legislature in response to Section 30 of Chapter 258 of the Acts of 2014, which required an analysis of the current substance use disorder (SUD) treatment system to increase future opportunities for SUD treatment. In addition to reviewing current data on SUD benefits, policy and procedures, CHIA also sent surveys to 94 addiction treatment provider organizations and conducted focus groups that included provider organizations and consumers covered by commercial and Medicaid health plans . . .
