The Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts reviewed the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (DCS) pharmacy practices for the 18-month period spanning July 1, 2013 through December 31, 2014. The report was released on May 13, 2015 as an interim report of the auditor’s examination of DCS. The report also discussed other inventory-related issues at the prison canteens and facilities, collection of fees from parolees released with the condition of on-going electronic location monitoring, and accounting for revenues from recycling aluminum beverage cans sold through the prison canteens . . .
