Veterans Administration Clarification To Proposed Rule: Secondary Service Connection for Diagnosable Illnesses Associated With Traumatic Brain Injury

The Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) correction revises a table in a proposed rule that would extend VA coverage for secondary conditions associated with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). The table lists factors the VA uses to determine TBI severity. The table was changed to include a key, noting the abbreviations for loss of consciousness, alteration of consciousness/mental state, post-traumatic amnesia, and the Glasgow Coma Scale.
