Massachusetts Department Of Public Health Letter To Cambridge Health Alliance Regarding Consolidation Of Child & Adolescent Inpatient PsychiatricUnits

May 22, 2013
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) notified the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) in April 2013 about plans to consolidate its 13-bed child and 14-bed adolescent inpatient psychiatric units at the Cambridge Hospital campus by July 1, 2013 and reduce the total number of beds from 27 to 16 . The DPH convened a public hearing. This letter is DPH's response to CHA about the consolidation plans.
