On July 3, 2012, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) released request for proposals (RFPs) for vendors to provide long-term care managed care services for Medicaid recipients. The state of Florida is divided into eleven geographic regions; the initial is to provide services to regions 2 through 11. Two five-year contracts will be awarded for each region. Proposals are due by August 28, 2012. The effective enrollment dates will begin August 1, 2013 and continue through March 1, 2014.
