Ohio House Bill 50 of 2016, Foster Care Bill Of Rights, Guardianship Guide, Foster Care Extended Eligibility

On June 9, 2016, Ohio Governor John Kasich signed House Bill 50 to enact extended foster care eligibility to youth up to age 21. Implementation is expected in about 18 months, with funding to be determined in the next budget. The voluntary extended foster care programs will offer preparation for college or a career, transitional housing, including apartment programs, campus housing, and foster and host homes . . .
