On May 26, 2012, the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine released regulations requiring behavior specialists to obtain licensure or certification. The regulation included a definition of "behavior specialist" and background information on the Insurance Law. The regulation included criteria for licensure, as well as information on renewal of licensure.
