Illinois Public Act 102-926, Formerly HB4242: Amends The Children & Family Services Act

On May 27, 2022, the Illinois Legislature published this Public Act 102-0926 (formerly House Bill 4242), which amends the Children & Family Services Act. Through this legislation, children up to age three who are involved in the state’s child welfare system are now automatically eligible for early intervention services such as speech or behavioral therapy that have the potential to mitigate the effects of these adverse experiences and establish the foundations for healthy development . . .
