April 2007 Medicare Program: Home Health Prospective Payment System Refinement & Rate Update for Calendar Year 2008 The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced that the 2008 rates for Medicare long term care will increase by 3.3% for skilled nursing facilities and by 2.9% for home health agencies.
